The Results

Now mind you, I can never get my hair to look as good as my hairdresser.
I like it! It’s cute and feels much healthier. I think I want my bangs to grow out though.

After I had my hair done I went over to the drugstore and bought myself some new lip gloss and eye shadow. It was my birthday after all.

I returned home to find a beautiful cake decorated by John and the kids with mini M&M's and presents! Love the cake! My mom and Becca got me some cool socks, gardening shoes, bath bombs and fizzies and a beautiful pair of tri-color gold hoop earrings.
John says my gift is in the mail. I thought my gift was my expensive trip to the hair salon but I guess I get more! Can’t wait to see!

The logo for our new company is done and it turned out beautifully. Today it’s sunny so I new to photograph said logo and work on our banner. We plan on launching our new Etsy store March 1st. Are you as excited as I am?!

I’ve added a mini of my favorites to my blog. This is a list of some of my favorite things on Etsy that isn’t glass related. Check it out! And if you feel compelled to buy them for me, go ahead! LOL!

Well back to work for me. Cya soon!

29 Again!

Yep, I’ve survived another year.
Or everyone has survived me. LOL!
I awoke to Tim Horton’s Mocha coffee and donuts.
I’m sorry people, but I truly think I have the best husband on this planet. He is the love of my life and super cute to boot!
Joshua stayed home and helped me with the little ones so I could shower.
I have the kiln loaded with the logo of our new company. It will be done tomorrow morning.
I have a wonderful beef and vege soup in the crockpot.
My friend Jen surprised me by sewing me an oilcloth apron. It arrived in the mail yesterday. Made my day!
My kids are happy and healthy.
Life is good.
For my birthday I am getting my hair cut. The appointment is at 5:30 pm.
I’m going for change.
Tune in tomorrow for the results.

Cuts a Plenty

I don’t recommend going gung-ho on glass projects when you’re sick and feeling like even the sharp shards of glass would be a nice place to curl up and go to sleep. I have multiple cuts, stabs and puncture marks. The tremendous blood loss is my own fault. I should have stopped after the first 5 injuries.

John and I have started a new business. Now we just have to finish our products.
We are hoping to be ready to launch our new venture on March 1st.
We are very excited!
Stay tuned for that!

We have worked really hard and can not wait to show everyone!
Everyone has been helping in some way. Jake and Johnna cheer us on from the sidelines (gate). Or cry for us to hurry up and finish. LOL!

Tomorrow is Valentines Day. I am making a very special dinner. I can’t tell you what it is until tomorrow but I can tell you that it’s all GREEK to me. Ha!

I already have dinner done for tonight, a simple hamburger and potato crockpot recipe.
It will be hot and ready when John and gets home. YUM!

Wickedly Fashionable

I always knew I was but now everyone knows!
My “Trapped in Pink” pendant has been featured on the website “Wickedly Chic”
( http://www.wickedlychic.com/ ) in the “Daily Ditties” and I’m so excited!
Besides my beautiful pendant there are scads of other fabulous things. Everything is from Indie businesses.
Gorgeous site, please check it out!

Today the high will be 19 degrees. Nice…At least it’s sunny.
I’m making chili. Johnna is going to love it, she LOVES beans. John forgot to buy the cornbread. He’s banned from writing the grocery list. Luckily Panera is on his way home. YUM!

I have a ton to do as usual. More later!

Powder

At left is the result of what happens if you let your two year old “hold it” and then you leave the vicinity for 4 minutes. The black leather sofa was white. Johnna just sat and observed happily. We will no longer be letting him hold the baby powder. *sigh*

Secrets...
Do you have any?
Any you want to share?
I have a couple. ;)
I’m not ready to share yet though.
I’ll let you know when.

I’m working very hard here. Have one million and one things to do. It feels good to be busy though. It feels even better that I’m working towards a better future for my children as well as John and myself. Ambition and willpower can accomplish anything!

I’m finishing some custom pieces today. Just one more firing and they will be done.
I need to redo a couple of pieces also. I HATE when you fire a piece of glass and it turns out a different color! Talk about throwing a wrench in the machinery! Everything comes to a standstill. Grrrr….

So much to do! Kids are getting restless. More later.

I made the front page!

Well the Etsy front page anyways! Thanks to another wonderful glass artist Pamela Angus. (http://www.pamelaangus.etsy.com/). It was her treasury that made the front page!
So exciting!
Then another Etsian was on the Martha Stewart show while my pendant was on the front page so I got a LOT of exposure! Thank you 1girl1boy (http://www.1girl1boy.etsy.com/) and congrats on being on Martha! I love Martha!
I have had many requests to make more nightlights so I ordered some glass yesterday to make some new ones. I have many ideas in mind. The shipment is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I LOVE getting new glass! Stay tuned for those!
I’m showing some of my things at a private “Girls Night Out” party tomorrow night at a new restaurant. Wish me luck!

Happy New Year!!!

Ya, ya, ya… I know I’m a little late.
What can I say?
I’ve been fighting with my new Camera. I think her and I are actually becoming friendlier today.
I listed two new things so at least I’m trying to be productive.

We had a wonderful New Years! Ate oysters Rockefeller, artichoke and spinach dip, fruit dip and fresh fruit, creamy dill cucumber toasties and the most decadent black forest cake! YUM!
New Years day (yesterday) we rang in the new year with plenty of pierogies and kielbasa and sauerkraut.
Now I need to stop eating so I can LOSE weight! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Why is it my life revolves around food?! I mean that’s not a bad thing unless it prevents you from wearing your favorite jeans!

Okay I gotta go throw some laundry in. That’s another thing my life revolves around…
At least everyone has clean underwear!

*Picture is of Jake holding up a new toy helicopter so I can learn the automatic focus feature on my camera. He’s such a great help!
